Adjustable Vertical Stage

A very useful, basic, z-height adjustable stage that can be mounted easily onto the UM1004 stand and on most other stands or a tripod. The stage can be used to mount a specimen/specimen holder or a camera, an ideal, low cost manual system for gathering a stack of images of subjects at high magnification.  In most cases  using it to mount a specimen held in something like a crocodile clip is its most common usage.  It has 40mm of travel on a threaded pillar with guide pillars either side, the height being controlled by turning a knob with an additional knobs which can be tightened to lock the position.  The movement has a graduated scale.  There is a 1/4 in tripod mount on the top surface.  There is a further 1/4 in tripod mount threaded hole on the underside.  The top surface has two rubber pads.
