A widely used technique for the imaging of flat reflective surfaces such as metals and plastics with fine surface changes in reflectivity. Most commonly used in conjunction with materials/metallurgical objectives. This attachment is available for ultraVU MTPro lenses and standard on ultraVUTUR lenses.
A system of illumination comprising of an LED lamp, a lamp receiver port and adjustable intensity controller. The light is introduced into the side of the lens. The light shines onto and is reflected downwards via a ‘half-silvered’ mirror. The light passes down through the objective lens onto the subject below. Light reflected from the subject then passes straight through the mirror up to the camera.
It comprises of a LED light source and a special fitting for an ultraVU lens.
